Free shipping threshold calculator

A free shipping threshold pays for itself when enough smaller orders grow to meet it, or it brings in extra orders. This calculator shows the monthly profit change and the top-up rate you need.

Before sales tax. Same currency throughout, CAD or USD.

Share of orders. They would stop paying shipping.

Carrier cost plus packaging. Only matters for extra orders.

Your best guess. Try 10, 20 and 30.

How to read this

Read the break-even top-up rate first. If it is above what you could reasonably expect, the threshold is too far from your typical small order, or your shipping charge is too high to give away. A threshold roughly one item above your usual basket tends to work better than one that asks for a second shopping trip. Change the threshold in steps and watch the gap, not just the net figure.
